This wine is an AMAZING value. Bright ruby in color, fading toward the edges to a light pink. There's a hint of gold/orange hue in this wine. The nose for me had heavy suggestions of tobacco and spice, with very muted berry scents. On the palate the texture is light and acidic. The alcohol definitely comes through, but it's balanced with earthy flavors and light fruit. This wine is drinking extremely well right now and I would not age it more than another year or so.

Quite substantial for a Crianza; drinks more like a Reserva. Medium-weight on the palate and showing plums and cassis on the nose and finish. This is quite austere upon opening, but after a 20-30 minute spanking in a decanter will open up and fill out. Should have a good future ahead of it. Drink now with a long decant, or 2012-2015.

Garnet in color with a pinkish rim. Primary aroma of cherry and secondary of espresso, and slightest hint of cheese rind. On the palate I get sour red fruit, earthy leaves, spice. This wine has great feel in the mouth and just the right acidity bouncing around that makes you want more. Well balanced. For $9 this is a big winner in my book. I will be buying more.

A flawed bottle may be affected by cork taint, heat (maderized), oxidation, or excessive sulfur. Additionally, some people consider wines tainted by Brettanomyces (Brett), a non-spore forming genus of yeast, a flaw although there is much controversy surrounding the subject.
