Uummm.... Am very intriguing respecting this bottle because this isn't the typical Kistler Chardonnay. Maybe it was a bottle variation, maybe wasn't good cellar keeping but it was very ugly in the fruits, smells like. Burgundy Chardonnay of 25 years old, almonds, ethereal. In mou was some how better but stills no fruits, no pears or peach or lime, then no buttery toasty. Finish some how was good but stills short to kistler standards.

Shy on opening, picked up nose of citrus and (later) canned peaches. Weight on the midpalate, perfect with roast chicken. Oak integrated from tasting a year ago. Slight heat on nose and backend. Overall, not overly robust, not profound, just nice.

A flawed bottle may be affected by cork taint, heat (maderized), oxidation, or excessive sulfur. Additionally, some people consider wines tainted by Brettanomyces (Brett), a non-spore forming genus of yeast, a flaw although there is much controversy surrounding the subject.
