DEEP RUBY RED BIG NOSE OF EARTH, RED CHERRIES AND LOVELY SOFT WELL INTEGRATED TANNINS WITH LONG BEAUTIFUL FINISH LASTING 45+ SECONDS. A GREAT WINE WORTHY OF SOME BIG ROAST OR STEAK.
A rich wine with a lot of sweet ripe fruit that overpowers all else. I was hoping for an even thicker, richer wine to balance the fruit, especially at the price paid. Nonetheless enjoyable.
A flawed bottle may be affected by cork taint, heat (maderized), oxidation, or excessive sulfur. Additionally, some people consider wines tainted by Brettanomyces (Brett), a non-spore forming genus of yeast, a flaw although there is much controversy surrounding the subject.
