2006 Chappellet - Cabernet Sauvignon Signature Cabernet Sauvignon - USA - California - Napa - Napa Valley - Red

Forget the notes on this one, but recall a big, deep dark Napa Cab. Tell-tale black fruits, good ripeness, clean throughout.

Very big and rich, with bright red fruit, licorice, and blackberry. Medium tannins suggest this will is drinking well now but capable of additional bottle age. Tough to resist now.

Intense flavors of blueberries and plums. Deep ruby red color, good body and nice texture. Smooth finish.

Spectacular after 2-3 hour decant, good for 2 years more cellar easy. Wish I had bought a CASE !

A little sour with dark berries.

This closed and very young beauty is only approachable after a long decanting, 4+ hours. Berry and toasty oak with vanilla tones. Big and tannic but not overly so. This needs a couple of years before it will truly be at its peak

Bright ruby red, nose of big beautiful berries, smooth port like consistency with a long beautiful finish. A really great wine for the price point. Hats off to the Chappellet family.

Very, very nice - strong fruit, full complex flavor, yet VERY smooth. Very nice.

Nice clarity, rich inky-violet coloration with a pleasant intensity on the nose highlighting blackberry, cassis and pencil lead. Flavor is nicely fruit-forward of darker berries, nice structure, and some pucker on the finish with strong tannins. A nicely balanced cabernet that will benefit from another year or two of cellaring.
