Kite's Rest is a blend of the vineyard's three designated blocks. Shows a floral aromatic profile. The palate is firm with pretty, very delicate character.

Tasted blind with 4 other 2006 Pinots, with Kosta Browne RRV, ROAR Garys', Black Kite Kite's Rest, Sinskey Carneros, Fort Ross FRV over leg of lamb, veggie tagine and spoonbread dinner. Consensus was KB and Black Kite, Roar, then Sinskey and Fort Ross fairly distant. The Black Kite for me personally was too muscular to the point of extraction, not a food wine.

A flawed bottle may be affected by cork taint, heat (maderized), oxidation, or excessive sulfur. Additionally, some people consider wines tainted by Brettanomyces (Brett), a non-spore forming genus of yeast, a flaw although there is much controversy surrounding the subject.
