Drink Dates 2010-2015

Was a good wine to open with, drinking well on open with lush red fruits, rounded out by herbs and some dustiness. Very silky and went well with soutzoukakia appetizer, other meats and cheeses. Good sweetness from fruits complimented bacon wrapped dates exquisitely. Might have been some drop off from the last bottle, but still exceptional.

Disappointing; maybe a bad bottle but kind of flat and tasted old (not in a good way). All that being said, still had some fruit and structure that saved it from the drain.

A flawed bottle may be affected by cork taint, heat (maderized), oxidation, or excessive sulfur. Additionally, some people consider wines tainted by Brettanomyces (Brett), a non-spore forming genus of yeast, a flaw although there is much controversy surrounding the subject.
