Liquid gold. Like drinking a filet mingnon with a chocolate souflee at Mortons. Long finish, finesse, eathiness that is well integrated with the dark fruit. Yum. Even better the next day. all the structure with an extra SMOOTHNESS! GITTIE UP. First time I have been allocated Araujo's syrah (after ordering the cab off the list for 6 years).

Lush, elegant syrah with delciious notes of white pepper. Smooth, silky texture around a strong yet subtile backbone. Perfect wine, or close to it.

Astonishing Syrah. Inky, Supple, and Perfect. A little powerful in 2010, but should mellow nicely for several years.

Incredible syrah from the deep inky hue down to the long peppery notes that trail through. Incredible.

A flawed bottle may be affected by cork taint, heat (maderized), oxidation, or excessive sulfur. Additionally, some people consider wines tainted by Brettanomyces (Brett), a non-spore forming genus of yeast, a flaw although there is much controversy surrounding the subject.
