One year later, this bottle is ready to drink now. Out of the bottle, into the Vinturri, this wine was excellent. Albeit, it was a bit tannic at the beginning, but the tannins settled within an hour.

Play it again, maestro!!! Complex display of mineral and fruit notes puts this wine into play as one with terrific results. Cassis, black cherry and berry skin aromas are lifted by a floral note. Supple, sweet and densely packed, with savory and floral notes adding interest to the smooth dark berry flavors, and ripe, harmonious acidity providing structure. Excellent wine!

I'm a big Andrew Will fan and I like to drink wines young-decanting to tame the tannins. I was really looking forward to this wine but it initially disappointed me. It needs to be decanted for 2 hours and then it opens up nicely into a very good wine. But it is still not a 95.

A flawed bottle may be affected by cork taint, heat (maderized), oxidation, or excessive sulfur. Additionally, some people consider wines tainted by Brettanomyces (Brett), a non-spore forming genus of yeast, a flaw although there is much controversy surrounding the subject.
