The domaine was "officially" founded in 1999 when the Boisset family's 91 acres were united under one name. Their original vineyard holding, Les Evocelles, was purchased in 1964 by Jean-Claude Boisset. The family's 91 acres are in 30 appellations in the Cote d'Or, with the latest purchase being the 24-acre premier cru Blanc de Vougeot Monopole. A flawed bottle may be affected by cork taint, heat (maderized), oxidation, or excessive sulfur. Additionally, some people consider wines tainted by Brettanomyces (Brett), a non-spore forming genus of yeast, a flaw although there is much controversy surrounding the subject.
