This lovely, affordable Rhone-style blend from Paso Robles was medium, clear ruby in color with aromas of black fruit, blueberries, and a hint of fennel and smoke which translated nicely to the palate. Crisp acidity lifts the fruit and light, round tannins add a bit of weight to the mouth feel. A marvelous accompaniment with chicken or other fowl, this yearly offering from Tablas Creek is well worth stocking up on to enjoy throughout the year.
