The second sensational Grenache from this world-class site shows aromas of saturated black raspberry sifted with smooth cassis, anise and hints of vanilla pod. The palate is dusty-smooth molten licorice, black raspberry, cassis and hints of spice and jasmine, leading to the textured dusty finish lasting for 30 seconds. Following 36 hours of air, the delicate nuances of Grenache waft from the glass, the palate redolent of raspberry

Good wine. Nice flavors but a little high alcohol. Worked fairly well with Cuban food.

Color: Dark to medium red with medium red edges Nose & Palate: Very complex: Cracked pepper, tar, flowers, plum sauce, raspberry & spice. More of the same on the palate with great balance & depth throughout the experience: tannins are fine and smooth, fruit is full but not weighty, great acid structure punctuates the finish. Bravo Russell! Paring recommendation: Duck leg or breast confit with a raspeberry vinegar, red wine, dried cherries, pink peppercorns and rosemary sauce, Delicious! Sides of smashed yukons or mushroom cous cous does the trick!

A flawed bottle may be affected by cork taint, heat (maderized), oxidation, or excessive sulfur. Additionally, some people consider wines tainted by Brettanomyces (Brett), a non-spore forming genus of yeast, a flaw although there is much controversy surrounding the subject.
