This is one of my favorite mid-tier cabs, although the price of later vintages has risen. One of the 2006 gems that got overlooked compared to 2005 and 2007. Nose of blackcurrants, roasted almonds and a hint of coffee. Very well integrated and still full bodied with a good finish of ripe tannins. The acidity and tannins have definitely softened since I had this wine almost a year ago. If you like young fruit and good structure (as do I) then drink this wine now while it lasts. If you like softer, more elegant wines, this one is just about there. You can drink now or give it another year.

Way too fruity. Almost to the point of cough syrup.

A very nice example of a rather classic Napa cab. Rich flavors of dark fruit and chocolate with some earthiness. Well balanced with enough tannin to age gracefully for several years.

This is a delicious bottle of wine. I can only imagine how it will age. I think this wine should be in the top 10 list for Wine Spectator 2010. And to think, only $40. Wow!

Good, but I'm not sure it really merits the high ratings. Not a plush cab, but good flavors. Great value for the $35 price.

A flawed bottle may be affected by cork taint, heat (maderized), oxidation, or excessive sulfur. Additionally, some people consider wines tainted by Brettanomyces (Brett), a non-spore forming genus of yeast, a flaw although there is much controversy surrounding the subject.
