Plum & cassis on the nose. Good body and dusty tannins. Fills the mouth well, but not a long finish.

A nice wine. Good flavors, not as big as Cali cabs, reminiscent of a Bordeaux. I liked it.

This is a pretty big wine with a lot of promise, but it didn't seem to stick the landing for me. Very earthy, barnyard bouquet more reminiscent of an old world wine. A lot of fruit with substantial backing tannin. All good ingredients, but they didn't come together for me. The wine came across as very muddled and inelegant.

A flawed bottle may be affected by cork taint, heat (maderized), oxidation, or excessive sulfur. Additionally, some people consider wines tainted by Brettanomyces (Brett), a non-spore forming genus of yeast, a flaw although there is much controversy surrounding the subject.
