Located in Saint-Julien, Chateau Talbot was classified as a Forth Growth chateau in the 1855 classification. The estate's history traces to Constable Talbot, who was an English warrior, defeated in France at the battle of Castillon in 1453. Still a bit green, try again in 2005. On the light side for a 2005, but very charming and easy to drink.

Tobacco and earth, and a bit too green for my tastes. Was my palate fried by then though? Maybe.
