Low US Retail is updated twice a month and excludes outlier listings. Detailed listings are sourced daily from our partner, Global Wine Stocks, and may include outliers. Note that you can use the 'Report a problem' link which appears after clicking on any individual listing to notify our content team and partner of incorrect wine matches.
Auction prices are based on actual auction results (inclusive of buyerÂ’s premiums) of 750ml bottle sizes only. As auction prices fluctuate from auction to auction and some wines have limited auction activity, the average auction price is updated twice a month and derived from a proprietary algorithm.

Still a bit closed but with an attractive combination of white flowers and seashells on the nose and a very mineral palate. Outstanding structure is its strong suit: acidity balanced with concentration and followed by great length. Still intellectual vs. hedonistic. Last sip was the best sip of all. A good sign. Try again in a year.

Ripe orchard fruit nose, and a whiff of sulphur, with minerals penetrating the miasma. Ripeness laced with stone carries through to the finish. Slightly exotic but not tropical; faint botrytis effects; not top-heavy or overripe. But not showing as well as a bottle tried six weeks ago (see my 1/30/11 note), and much less my style than the 2004 tried next.

Opens with minerals and apples. Palate needs more then an hour to gain richness and for flavours to really show. This could be great but acidity might limit it's aging potential to around it's tenth birthday in my opinion.

A flawed bottle may be affected by cork taint, heat (maderized), oxidation, or excessive sulfur. Additionally, some people consider wines tainted by Brettanomyces (Brett), a non-spore forming genus of yeast, a flaw although there is much controversy surrounding the subject.
