No expense was spared by Betty O'Shaughnessy building her Howell Mountain winery, developing the steeply terraced vineyards and hiring Sean Capiaux as winemaker. The winery also produces a Mt. Veeder bottling .

tight and tannic; should have decanted it to let the fruit come out. Some hints of tobacco and leather. Not as good as I remember

Very dark red wine. Herbal aroma with a hint of citrus. Current flavor with a hint of cherry and chocolate. Slightly sweet finish. Tasted with 2001 which was still very fresh so I think this wine will age well - at least 2012.
