I had this at the winery on 7/18/09. The nose was VERY reserved with some barn yard with a hint of cherry. The palate followed with cherry, plum and vanilla flavors. It was a good pinot, but there are certainly better available for the price.

Excellent, fruity (lots of blue fruit), full-bodied. Great on its own or with food

Pleasant to drink. More interesting than many of the light, floral RRV pinots, but not very complex. Doesn't have the tongue coating glycerine of some of the other Martinelli pinot noirs.

A flawed bottle may be affected by cork taint, heat (maderized), oxidation, or excessive sulfur. Additionally, some people consider wines tainted by Brettanomyces (Brett), a non-spore forming genus of yeast, a flaw although there is much controversy surrounding the subject.
