now this is what I call a good shiraz. I could drink this every night. I try one every year and am always pleased. Dark purple, magnificent aromas, and great chocolate, cedar, and caramel influences.

Enjoyed this bottle last night with a friend. I ran it through a vinturi and into the decanter. Drank it over 2.5 hours. The nose was nice and you could tell this wine would have a chewey feel before your first sip. Chocolate, Jam, and more. The alcohol is present but not overwhelming. We both liked it, but would stop short of saying we loved it.

Really nice, actually. This has shed some baby fat and while still primary is developing some savory notes. ABV is 16.5 but the fruit stands up to it. Not buying much many Aussies these days but would like to see how this is drinking in a few years.

If you like big flamboyant shiraz, it does not get much better than this. I've had this wine several times, and each has been consistent. The wine is very well integrated with smooth rich tannins and dark sweet fruit. The wine is very very forward and will stand up to most food. Really enjoyable if you are in the mood for this type of style. The previous taster hit it dead on - keeps you coming back for more - Cheers!

A flawed bottle may be affected by cork taint, heat (maderized), oxidation, or excessive sulfur. Additionally, some people consider wines tainted by Brettanomyces (Brett), a non-spore forming genus of yeast, a flaw although there is much controversy surrounding the subject.
