Kosta-Browne started its supersonic trek to celebrity status in 1997, when pals Dan Kosta and Michael Browne pooled their restaurant tips and purchased a half ton of Pinot Noir, a manual crusher-de-stemmer and a used barrel. A nose of tarry cherry; smooth and round. The palate has forward and focused dark cherry, licorice and toast.

The candiness of this wines has mellowed (which I liked). The wine had a nice bright cherry finish that lasted about 30 seconds...enjoyed this wine.

Best of the appellation wines I have had to date. Color: Dark red with purple tones. Nose: Cherry, sassafrass, ripe strawberry, some earth but mostly fruit Palate: Huge bing and black cherry, plummy cola notes, some strawberry rhubarb, silky smooth finish, this is a huge wine, but still is not weighty. Long sweet finish. Not my cup of tea but well made for this style.

Very light but brownish on the rim, looking almost aged beyong its time. The nose is of overwhelming cola and black pepper with a touch of vanilla. Silky and creamy texture with bold notes of cherry, cola, and spice. the finish is long but one can sense the alcohol as the wine goes to the back of the mouth. All in all a nice wine due to the eccentric cola/spice/fruit combination but I'm holding back the score due to the lack of integration.
