(40% Grenache, 40% Syrah, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon) Inspired by the Luberon terroir, this wine's aromatic profile is thick and loaded with plum, herb, rose and tar. Stick your nose in deeper and you find sweet leather, dark chocolate and raspberry. A beastly beauty that takes over with gobs of burly, but properly supported, black plum, spice cake and baking chocolate. The acidity does an admirable job of cutting, lifting and separating as the inky grip pulls up and gives you a substantial finish of heady purple floral and roasted coffee notes.
