Ray and Nancy Coursen founded Elyse Winery in 1987 with their first production of Morisoli Vineyard Zinfandel. They continued to purchase grapes until 1997 when they bought a small winery on Hoffman Lane. BIG and structured petit with dark blackberry, bramble and toasty oak. Let it breathe for at least an hour.

A flawed bottle may be affected by cork taint, heat (maderized), oxidation, or excessive sulfur. Additionally, some people consider wines tainted by Brettanomyces (Brett), a non-spore forming genus of yeast, a flaw although there is much controversy surrounding the subject.
