Very smooth - delicious. When opened it had two very distinct flavors - one sweet and one other (couldn't identify it). Paired with panna cotta emphasized the "other" flavor. Wine grew more flavorful and complex a day later.

Rich golden colour. Waxy medium body with youthful acidity. Rich dried apricot, pineapple, a hint of vanilla and botrytis on the nose. Currently showing a bit of youthful simplicity. Good attack with rich sweet flavours of honey, apricot, candied fruits and butter pastry. Excellent length. Will definitely improve with time. Very young at the moment, I'll try the next bottle in 5 years. Very good.

93 Points - Wine Spectator Gary Vaynerchuks #1 Wine in his latest book "101 Wines Guaranteed to Inspire, delight, and bring Thunder to your world" "Intense aromas of honey, dried pineapple and botrytis spice. Full-bodied, very sweet and very powerful, with loads of dried fruit and sweetness on the finish. Lots of clove and orange peel. Same quality as the 2001. Best after 2013. 3,500 cases made. - JS"
