Plunge your nose into the poised black cherry, plum and chocolaty nose wrapped in tobacco and plumy blackberry. This is a nose that seduces, not bludgeons, your olfactory sense. Great entry that replenishes the dark fruit aspect of the nose with just a tinge of red forest fruit that uplifts and integrates with the lithe, perfectly toned tannins. Finishes deliciously with nods to boysenberry, tobacco, coffee beans and the merest shaving of dark chocolate. A cabernet drinker's Cab - polished and classic.

Does not stand up to the limited production Napa cabs, but a nice wine given the scale. Needs a couple more years in the bottle but starting to express nice vanilla and cherry notes. A little heavy on the oak but otherwise decent for the price.

A nice nose of oak, vanilla, and cherries/cassis. Very suttle wine not overpowering. On the palate very similar with creamy tannins and acidity that blended well with the vanilla and fruit flavors with a small amount of oak on the back end.
