One of three bottles comsumed over the past year and a half. This a solid effort, but is is beginning to show signs of decline. Dark garnet to brick-colored rim; the meniscus was larger than that of the last bottle. Nice bouquet of wet leaves, oak and berries. A little tart and acidic at first, but gradually opened up to reveal essences of strawberry, cotton candy(!) and rhubarb. Mid-palate was a little weak; finish lasted about 10 seconds. I have always found Russian River Pinots to be a little on the light side, and this is no exception.
