Auction prices are based on actual auction results (inclusive of buyerÂ’s premiums) of 750ml bottle sizes only. As auction prices fluctuate from auction to auction and some wines have limited auction activity, the average auction price is updated twice a month and derived from a proprietary algorithm.

Drink Dates 2012-2018

Sweet, crushed blackberry aromas. There's something a bit New World about this! Lots of oak influence on the finish. Needs time. Slightly rhubarb/stewed notes.

Drink Dates 2013-2018

Opened and decanted 2 hours prior to drinking. Medium-plus color, a dark ruby hue. Primary aromas of red (dark cherry) and black fruits, with a bit of oak and spice. On the palate, very polished wine with some new world characteristics. Still very young wine, with some evident tannins, but well-balanced. This bottle drank above its class - though a village Gevrey, had the "stuffing" of a premier cru. Matched well with the dinner entry of coq au vin. Should drink well for another 2-5+ years.

A flawed bottle may be affected by cork taint, heat (maderized), oxidation, or excessive sulfur. Additionally, some people consider wines tainted by Brettanomyces (Brett), a non-spore forming genus of yeast, a flaw although there is much controversy surrounding the subject.
