needs an hour in the decanter - earthy flavor due to the valley - overall loved the tannins - think easily could have gone 3-4 more years in the cellar

Dark, almost black robe. Its bottle age has helped bring together this wine nicely, with generous amounts of blue and red fruit flavors - dark cherry, cassis and lots of red licorice. Lots of viscosity and fairly full on the mid-palate; the wine was a perfect match with the Smoke-Roasted Lamb Provencale, which was fairly well seasoned. Long tapering finish of more dark fruits, with soft tannins and very little acidity. A great value, would buy again.

A flawed bottle may be affected by cork taint, heat (maderized), oxidation, or excessive sulfur. Additionally, some people consider wines tainted by Brettanomyces (Brett), a non-spore forming genus of yeast, a flaw although there is much controversy surrounding the subject.
