Producer Notes

The Peters family has originated a stunning line of champagnes in the Mesnil sur Oger region of Champagne. The Blanc de Blancs wines are of immensely complex, yet crisp, proportion. Their concentration of mineral and balanced acidity is the perfect foil to the citrusy fruit that seamlessly rounds out the package. This is Chardonnay-driven champagne at its best.

A flawed bottle may be affected by cork taint, heat (maderized), oxidation, or excessive sulfur. Additionally, some people consider wines tainted by Brettanomyces (Brett), a non-spore forming genus of yeast, a flaw although there is much controversy surrounding the subject.
