Drink Dates 2010-2014

Thick, opaque and intense colors of violet with very slow legs, and almost no rim variation. Rich aromas of dark berries, vanilla and some oak accompanied by some heat in the chest and followed by intense flavors of blueberry, green pepper, cassis and pencil lead. The finish was structured and very long. However, tannins remain a bit muscular and will benefit from further aging. A fantastic wine.

A flawed bottle may be affected by cork taint, heat (maderized), oxidation, or excessive sulfur. Additionally, some people consider wines tainted by Brettanomyces (Brett), a non-spore forming genus of yeast, a flaw although there is much controversy surrounding the subject.
