Deep, dark red color. Beautiful floral nose with some smokey overtones; also some chocolate and perhaps mint. Rich wine with lots of fruit but also lots of structure. Very good balance in this wine; drinking great now, but probably gets even better over the next few years.

Complex aromas of black fruits but also has very silky tannin. Easy to drink even in their younger ages. Would get better after some years of cellaring.

A flawed bottle may be affected by cork taint, heat (maderized), oxidation, or excessive sulfur. Additionally, some people consider wines tainted by Brettanomyces (Brett), a non-spore forming genus of yeast, a flaw although there is much controversy surrounding the subject.
