A brilliant offering from Jeff and Gary Pisoni, this deep ruby/purple-colored 2004 offers up a captivating aromatic smorgasbord that includes black raspberries, blueberries, forest floor, and flowers. Openly fruity, supple and polished, with the emphasis on vivid black cherry and blackberry fruit. Has just enough tannins to provide backbone, with the fruit pouring through on the finish. 200 cases made.

A flawed bottle may be affected by cork taint, heat (maderized), oxidation, or excessive sulfur. Additionally, some people consider wines tainted by Brettanomyces (Brett), a non-spore forming genus of yeast, a flaw although there is much controversy surrounding the subject.
