Pomegranate, carbon and blackberry aromas in the nose. The palate has ripe raspberry crispness with a splash of cassis. With air the riveting pure raspberry becomes an exclamation point. This is right up there with the top CA Grenache.

Aromas: Pomegranate, blackberry and graphite Palate: Pure raspberry and blackberry dance together Impression: I love good Grenache and this is the best I tasted in 2008, needs an hour to really kick in to overdrive.

A flawed bottle may be affected by cork taint, heat (maderized), oxidation, or excessive sulfur. Additionally, some people consider wines tainted by Brettanomyces (Brett), a non-spore forming genus of yeast, a flaw although there is much controversy surrounding the subject.
