Auction prices are based on actual auction results (inclusive of buyerÂ’s premiums) of 750ml bottle sizes only. As auction prices fluctuate from auction to auction and some wines have limited auction activity, the average auction price is updated twice a month and derived from a proprietary algorithm.

Nicely balanced and ripe-tasting, but is not yet showing typical St. Emilion goutte de terroir. While this has just entered its drinking window, it should really hit its stride in 2016 or 2017.

On the nose, red cherry, guava, tree bark and some warm peppery spices. The flavour was initially very fruity with strong notes of cherry, damson and tropical fruits. Very well balanced albeit somewhat light and silky. Full mouthed and long in the finish. Neither tannic or acidic in character. An excellent bottle of wine.

A flawed bottle may be affected by cork taint, heat (maderized), oxidation, or excessive sulfur. Additionally, some people consider wines tainted by Brettanomyces (Brett), a non-spore forming genus of yeast, a flaw although there is much controversy surrounding the subject.
