Tasted On 08/05/2010
A beautiful bouquet of cherries envelopes the entire kitchen when I poured into the decanter. I somehow restrained myself for about an hour before the first taste....delicious notes of cedar, black pepper & dark berry fruits....seems a little tight so it wouldn't hurt to age awhile longer. A nice effort.
Aroma: pretty sandalwood, cinnamon and plum, black raspberry and skins of firm stone fruits
Palate: big, ripe juicy wine showing black and red fruits with good acidity
Impression: as with the 2005, this wine will benefit from a few years in the cellar, although the oak is more integrated
