Martinelli Winery is steeped in tradition - the founders were Giuseppe Martinelli and Luisa Vellutini, originally from a village in Tuscany, who eloped as teenagers and landed in Sonoma in 1887. Is this really a pinot?! Deep dark fruit that mingles with alcohol in the nose. A heavy, yet perfectly balanced mouth feel - the prevalence of alcohol in the nose is matched by strong fruit and sharp acid. and a gorgeous finish. This will last for a few more years.
