complex nose of blackberry, stewed plum that comes off kind of fat and cluncy. This leads into wet tobacco, lavender and clove spice blanketed by a prominent saddle leather and subtle barnyard. Despite being a classic and elegant styled wine the blackberry and cassis fruit are rich and bold extending through the mid palate and into the finish. The soft and supple tannins reveal nicely integrated pencil shavings and graphite.

Still young when opened, full of aroma but didnt last very long. After 35 minutes it started to show more layers, deep beautiful violet & ruby in color, a bit of berry scents with a touch of tropical fruits, full-bodied. Match with Jap style yakiniku.

A flawed bottle may be affected by cork taint, heat (maderized), oxidation, or excessive sulfur. Additionally, some people consider wines tainted by Brettanomyces (Brett), a non-spore forming genus of yeast, a flaw although there is much controversy surrounding the subject.
