This followed a Beaurenard Rasteau of the same vintage and this was far superior. Much darker and denser, this wine was better in every way. But then, it is typically substantially more money. This is still young and need breathing time. It open nicely to reveal rich, earthy flavors and dark fruits that are well balanced once the air softens the tannins. I bought this very well on sale and would surely buy it again.
