Delicious food wine, really sang with prime rib. Great purple color, cedar, earth, stewed cherries, spice box. Tried twice before, best showing for this vintage yet.

Cab/Merlot blend. Some spice from Howell. Effusive aroma with decent finish.

Still rather tannic, but as I discovered, that can be a good thing if paired with the right foods. This wine showed plenty of fruity cassis, blackberry and boysenberry fruit framed by solid tannin, acidity and well integrated oak. Lots of compelixity. The wine evolved wonderfully throughout the course of the evening. A substantial wine from a highly respected Napa producer. Would buy again.

Lots of plum and currant in the nose and on the palate; still young and tannins are a bit harsh.good mouth feel and lots of promise; hold for another 2-5 years.
