Full-bodied, rich and potent, with a nose that showcases the elemental tobacco, ripe cherry and licorice that makes Brunello what it is. Expressive black fruit is delineated with sweet spice and a stream of red cherry and wild strawberry. Smooth, yet, structured core of elegant tannins and a finish that is deliciously accented by spice and vibrancy. A delight for the senses.

Tasted On 12/08/2009

Tasted Dec. 8, 2009. Needs to age more. Decanted for 1+ hours and it still didn't open. Otherwise it is good.

A flawed bottle may be affected by cork taint, heat (maderized), oxidation, or excessive sulfur. Additionally, some people consider wines tainted by Brettanomyces (Brett), a non-spore forming genus of yeast, a flaw although there is much controversy surrounding the subject.
