No hurry,huge ,ripe fruit but still robust slightly drying tannins,food a must to accompany adn soften

This was a wine that everyone either loved or hated. The nose was explosive red fruit, pepper, herbs, and coffee. The palate was like a small bomb going off in the mouth -- filled with strong harsh tannins, black fruit, and a hint of Moxie (?) and/or Dr. Pepper (?). The finish was simply overwhelmed by the tannins leaving a gritty/harsh after taste. Everyone agreed we wouldn't try any of the next bottles for at least the next 5 - 10 years and see if the tannins ease back at all.

very ripe and primary at this point. fun to drink but definitely still very young. I'll give it a few more years before opening another to see where this goes.

The ripest, most massive Reservee of them all should prove to be an absolute blockbuster in terms of longevity. The heat of the vintage enabled the Ferauds to conjure a massive, inky breed of Chateauneuf du Pape that seemed to harness its power better than just about any other wine of this vintage. Notes of cassis, dark fig, grilled game, pepper, cinnamon and cocoa brood from the glass w/ an underlining density and intensity that sends shivers down the spine. The palate is loaded w/ liqueur driven fruits that are driven by an unevolved, muscular personality that reverberates on the imposing finish for as long as the watch can tick. A legend in the making that is a tribute to old vine Grenache and will be an absolute treat to watch evolve

Tasted in 2007. Really rich Rhone wine with superb balance and vigour. Red and black fruits good heat but in balance. Try next in 2009
