Dark red, dark ruby edges. Big notes of tobacco and tar. Fruit of blackberry and currants are being blocked out initially by the strong initial aromas. Palate was iron, some pepper and black currant. Some black tea flavors, well tamed tannins, noticeable and drying w/o food. Need food, steak or grilled lamb!. Definitely unique!

A flawed bottle may be affected by cork taint, heat (maderized), oxidation, or excessive sulfur. Additionally, some people consider wines tainted by Brettanomyces (Brett), a non-spore forming genus of yeast, a flaw although there is much controversy surrounding the subject.
