Drink Dates 2009-2015

Very dark ruby red and very inky. Great nose of blackberry, licorice, peppery spice, chocolate and coffee roast. On the palate it had everything one expects form a powerful Australian Shiraz. The finish was intense and lingered on for a while.

Drink Dates 2007-2013

Deep blood red color with an attractive nose of plum, alcohol, and mint with a milky overlay. Over acidified but the wine still delivers good fruit concentration and smooth tannin. Fine length due to the wine?s prominent acidity. Not Two Hands? best effort. 100% Shiraz aged in entirely in American oak only 5% of which was new.

A flawed bottle may be affected by cork taint, heat (maderized), oxidation, or excessive sulfur. Additionally, some people consider wines tainted by Brettanomyces (Brett), a non-spore forming genus of yeast, a flaw although there is much controversy surrounding the subject.
