Made in what I would call the California style, yet with 13.5% listed on the label, this has rich, rich fruit and soft, succulent tannins in a fairly full-bodied yet not blockbuster wine. Fruit forward, this offers blackberry compote aromas with hints of cream and smoky brush. On the palate it is soft and creamy, with minor hints of spicy bell pepper to the full blackberry and currant compote flavors. This is a full blown yet not overblown wine that is still young and rambunctiously fruity, with soft yet firm tannins underneath. Definitely has time left to develop.

med red cherry, slightly sweet aromas and cherry pie flavors, one dimensional in structure. For 30 bucks there are better choices

A flawed bottle may be affected by cork taint, heat (maderized), oxidation, or excessive sulfur. Additionally, some people consider wines tainted by Brettanomyces (Brett), a non-spore forming genus of yeast, a flaw although there is much controversy surrounding the subject.
