A relatively new (established 2000) Sebastiani label, this Cabernet Sauvignon could easily be mistaken for mediocre Beaujolais. A bubble gum nose with hints of cinnamon, cherry, and some cassis. On the palate, its all about heat with some simple cherry and wood flavor managing to peak through on the finish. With Cabernet Sauvignon tonnage available in the spot market for between $90 and $150 a ton, I expected better. Innocuous but not flawed.
