Popped and poured; drank over 3 hours. Medium red color with a little bit of purple remaining at the core. A very pretty nose with aromas of flowers, red and black fruits and a bit of spicy oak. On the palate, flavors confirm the nose, though the tannins have a little more to go to be fully integrated. This wine is still improving and should be better over next 2-5 years.

A flawed bottle may be affected by cork taint, heat (maderized), oxidation, or excessive sulfur. Additionally, some people consider wines tainted by Brettanomyces (Brett), a non-spore forming genus of yeast, a flaw although there is much controversy surrounding the subject.
