An intriguing (and reasonably priced) first release from Gary Miller, a professional Chef turned vintner. A brilliant translucent ruby red hued wine with tight but persistent aromas of cranberry, dried cherry, and light oak shadings. Excellent acidity and light tannins. Subtle flavors echo the nose with an overlay of unsweetened milk chocolate. Surprisingly lengthy on the palate. A winery that is worth watching but only if you fancy Pinot Noir rather than Pinotfandel.

A flawed bottle may be affected by cork taint, heat (maderized), oxidation, or excessive sulfur. Additionally, some people consider wines tainted by Brettanomyces (Brett), a non-spore forming genus of yeast, a flaw although there is much controversy surrounding the subject.
