Popped the cork and decanted for 2 hours. The wine is a beautiful and very deep ruby red. It's massively big, jammy, hints of berry, spicy and a taste lasting easily a minute plus. The wine is structurally deep, well balanced but it's still a bit young and needs a few more years in the bottle to fully develop. Give this wine a rest and open it in 3 to 5 more years and it will be outstanding. This wine has serious potential to develop into something very special and all it needs is more time to develop. I loved it.

Wow. This is a wonderful blend of blackberry, licorice and spice on the nose and palate. The tannins are just beginning to absorb the fruit at this point. The wine is seamless on the palate and promises to get even better with time.

A flawed bottle may be affected by cork taint, heat (maderized), oxidation, or excessive sulfur. Additionally, some people consider wines tainted by Brettanomyces (Brett), a non-spore forming genus of yeast, a flaw although there is much controversy surrounding the subject.
