Very overpriced for mediocre quality. Have had on several occassions, in good vintages, and have always been unimpressed.

The nose of this standard California Cab is as expected, featuring plums and moderate alcohol. A medium-full body exhibits similar black fruit to the nose and offers notes of earth and tar. A crowd-friendly polish with integrated tannins. Very much as anticipated and drinking well now. (Note: Preferred '01 J Phelps drank weeks prior.)

A flawed bottle may be affected by cork taint, heat (maderized), oxidation, or excessive sulfur. Additionally, some people consider wines tainted by Brettanomyces (Brett), a non-spore forming genus of yeast, a flaw although there is much controversy surrounding the subject.
