Drink Dates 2013-2018

Popped and poured, then drank over 3 hours. Medium, sparkling burgundy color. Initial nose a bit stinky (barnyard) but this blew off after 15-30 minutes. Bright, high-toned and red fruit flavors; very fresh due to the acidity but there was enough fruit to balance the acidity and tannins. There was good punch through the mid-palate, but the flavors trailed-off quickly - moderate finish at best. Drinking nicely now, and probably at its prime over the next 3-5 years

A flawed bottle may be affected by cork taint, heat (maderized), oxidation, or excessive sulfur. Additionally, some people consider wines tainted by Brettanomyces (Brett), a non-spore forming genus of yeast, a flaw although there is much controversy surrounding the subject.
