Consistent notes. Elegant, racy, dry Chenin Blanc with excellent concentration and good depth and complexity. Grapefruit and minerals. Lovely long finish. Drinking well now but nearing the end of its drinking plateau.

One of the great white wines of France, one that has been made in this vineyard since Roman times. So minerally and structured, we could almost taste the rocks in the French soil. Although it's nearly 20 years old, it's still super-fresh and vibrant, and a perfect match for grilled seafood. And all that pleasure for a relatively low price.

A flawed bottle may be affected by cork taint, heat (maderized), oxidation, or excessive sulfur. Additionally, some people consider wines tainted by Brettanomyces (Brett), a non-spore forming genus of yeast, a flaw although there is much controversy surrounding the subject.
