Had against a 2002 Rudd Estate and a 2002 Dominus. To me this was the clear winner even though Parket rated Dominus a 99 point wine. This wine was strong on the nose with a beautiful, deep powerful scent. Notes of cocoa, blueberry, and dark fruit. Not as strong on the finish as the 2002 Rudd but I really, really love this wine and one of the best Cabs I've had in the past 2+ years.

Still very youthful with well integrated tannins and huge blackberry explosion in the mid-palette. Very long finish.

really a stunner; complex and well integrated tannins and flavors; notes of dark berry fruit, chocolate and leather.

A flawed bottle may be affected by cork taint, heat (maderized), oxidation, or excessive sulfur. Additionally, some people consider wines tainted by Brettanomyces (Brett), a non-spore forming genus of yeast, a flaw although there is much controversy surrounding the subject.
